We’ve got a new version out – 0.6.1

April 12th, 2006

Hey everyone,
Well, we can’t thank you all enough for your feedback and bug reports over the past few weeks in response to our initial beta release. We’ve been working hard and we’ve fixed a lot of the bugs that were reported. We also realized that the installer for the original release was not quite as good as it could be and was confusing to some users. So, we’ve completely redesigned it and it should clear up a lot of confusion and make everything a whole lot easier.

We’re already working on our next release which we hope to have out in 2-3 weeks that will bring some much needed improvements to the scrapbook uploader and to a lot of the behind the scenes file transfer operations.

As always, we love and appreciate your feedback and bug reports. Keep getting sticky!

Jacob

Hi Everybody!

April 10th, 2006

So, things are going fantastically well here at sticky hq.  Our user registrations continues to grow steadily, and we are pleased to see so many people get sticky.  We have updated the program as well, and the new version is even cleaner and more bug-free.  Also, the installer is now faster and easier to user- please feel free to try it out and send us your feedback.

Sarah is kicking butt and taking polls on campus – her research-methods training from university really is paying off.  The Mac version grows ever closer, in large part due to Nicole’s ceaseless efforts on behalf of all Apple Addicts.  And we hope to have more desktop and web based features soon.  Look to the website to change in the next couple of weeks.

And now, the sticky tip of the day:

Go to www.stickydrive.com and re-download the installer.  Running the installer again will update your stickydrive and give you the most recent version. Just click on the “Already Registered?  Download Here.”  button and download or run the installer.  The new one is much easier, and you will get the updated, new and improved version of stickydrive.

Thanks folks,

Have a sticky day  :)

Howdy, folks.

Hello sticky world.   We are back from San Diego, and we had had an awesome time hanging out at San Diego State.  Many people passing by in the main quad stopped by the table to check out stickydrive and get in the loop – thank you to all our new stickydrive patrons.  We also had a great time at the fundraising event hosted by Alpha Ep[silon Pi fraternity.  They raised hundreds of dollars in support of cancer research, served many refreshing beverages, and many people got sticky.  A good time for all.

Great news here at sticky hq – Jacob, our original sticky author and one of our lead programmers is full-time here in the office for awhile, and we’re glad to have him.  We will have great sticky updates coming very soon, as well as several new products around the corner.  More on those coming soon.
Meanwhile, let me say thank you once again to all of our stickydrive users.  We’re glad to have you on board, and really we have only one thing to ask of you.  Please tell your friends, and help everyone else get sticky.

And now, here’s the sticky-tip of the day:

If you’re bored writing your paper, and you need a break, download Arcade Classic.  It literally takes 30 seconds and 300KB of space.  Then you can play PacMan, Space Invaders, Pong and Asteroids.  Head over to the “Apps” section, hit “Get Apps” and download Arcade Classic.  It’s a great way to waste time.

Have a sticky day.  :)

San Diego… knows how to get sticky.

The sticky promotional team is in San Diego, CA this week, promoting stickydrive and getting the word out.  We are on the SDSU campus all week, and if you are in town, come stop by and eat a donut with the sticky team.

An important social note:  The Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity (AEPi) is holding a fundraiser auction this Friday evening at their house on Campus Pl. at 9:00 PM.  Proceeds go to the Israel Cancer Research Foundation.  stickydrive is a major donor for the occaassion, and will be helping to host the event.  Please feel free to come and celebrate, donate to a worthy cause, and get sticky all in the same evening.

stickydrive tip of the day:  you probably already know that you can paste HTML code into a comment box on MySpace.  You may not know that you can paste that same code into a regular old email (like in Yahoo! mail or Hotmail) and send it off.  The recipient will have a link in their email that lets them view the scrapbook.  So even if people don’t have MySpace, they can still see your awesome scrapbooks.  Rebecca Shuster, stickydrive user 1028 sent us that tip; thanks Rebecca!

Signing off.  Please drive safe and, have a sticky day.  :)

Hi from the sticky mobile HQ.

stickydrive is going through the roof, and that’s great. Thanks for all your support. We’re really happy to have you as users. Please keep spreading the word to everyone you know. You can send people an email right from the “Welcome” page.
You can also tell people to check out www.myspace.com/stickydrive – even if you don’t have a myspace account you can still view our page and get lots of info there.

Tip of the day:

When you download from the website, save to your desktop. Then run the installer (he postage stamp “sd” icon) and install stickydrive onto your flash drive. Click on the square to the right with the “…” on it to find your flas drive.
